Could very well be a kit car. I know they used replica Testarossas at least to some degree in Miami Vice.. not sure where this is from.

I know the first season or two they used a Replica Daytona, but Ferrari sued them and won the court case. After that Ferrari provided them with free Testerossa's for them to use in filming. It seems unlikely that they would risk angering Ferrari by using Replicas again after loosing the lawsuit but being given free actual cars.
